Attention all outdoor enthusiasts! We’ve got some exciting updates to share regarding our beloved Hike and Bike trail at Blue Hole Regional Park.

Starting Thursday, May 23rd, portions of our Hike and Bike trail will begin undergoing major repairs. While this means that sections of the trail will be closed until the end of August, we promise it’s for a good reason! These repairs are essential for maintaining the safety, quality, and accessibility of the trail, ensuring that it remains a favorite destination for park visitors.

We understand that the temporary closure may inconvenience some of our loyal trail users, and for that, we apologize. But fear not! We’re here to ensure that your outdoor adventures don’t miss a beat. We have alternative routes to keep you exploring and enjoying the beauty of our park. . The red trail (Hike and Bike trail) will have certain sections closed intermittently as work progresses along different parts of the trail. To navigate around these closures, we suggest utilizing the green, brown, and pink trails as alternative routes.

The city of Wimberley in Hays County received a $273,900 grant for the Hike and Bike Trail Improvement project. The project includes renovation and resurfacing of one mile of multi-use trail with accessible improved-surface trail. To read more about the grant and project, visit our .

We’re committed to maintaining our trails for the enjoyment of everyone, and we thank you for your continued support. Stay tuned for more updates, and in the meantime, keep exploring and embracing the great outdoors at Blue Hole Regional Park!
