Land Preservation
Public parks for future generations
Our commitment to land preservation ensures the long-term protection of the Texas Hill Country’s unique natural habitats. By safeguarding these lands, we protect the biodiversity that makes Wimberley so special. Our efforts extend beyond simple preservation to active restoration projects that enhance the resilience of these ecosystems.
- Habitat Management: Stewardship of 6 parks around Wimberley, including Cypress Creek Nature Preserve and 126 acres of prime Texas hill country at Blue Hole Regional Park. Our mission is to maintain the ecological integrity of the land and native plant and animal communities, ensuring they thrive for generations to come.
- Invasive Species Control: Regular removal of non-native species to restore and sustain natural ecosystems. By doing so, we are able to create space to plant native trees, and seed native grasses and wildflowers, which only increases our native biodiversity.
