Wimberley Proud!
At Wimberley Parks and Recreation, we’re always striving to represent our community with excellence—and this past week, our team did just that at the Central Region Texas Recreation and Parks Society (TRAPS) Conference and Maintenance Rodeo!
This exciting event brought together parks and recreation professionals from across the region to connect, learn, and compete in unique challenges. We’re thrilled to share the highlights of our team’s achievements:
Maintenance Rodeo Success
Our talented Maintenance Team showcased their skills in a variety of challenges, including:

- Riding Lawn Mower Obstacle Course 🚜
- Plant Identification 🌿
The highlight of the event was Ryan’s incredible performance in the Leaf Blower Obstacle Course, earning him a first-place victory! 🥇 Ryan’s win qualifies him to compete in the state championship, where we know he’ll make Wimberley proud.
Award-Winning Photography
Wimberley Parks and Recreation also stood out in the photography competition, taking home **four awards** across multiple categories:
- Athletics: Spikes at Sunset 🏐
- Aquatics: Summer Splash 🌊
- Camp: Nature Camp Encounters 🌳

Each photograph captured the heart of our community and the beauty of our parks, reminding us of the importance of preserving and celebrating Wimberley’s natural and cultural assets.
