What to Do After Swim Season: Blue Hole Regional Park in the Fall
Blue Hole’s 2025 swim season is nearly over! As the summer comes to an end, Blue Hole Regional Park will be open for swimming every day through Labor Day, and on weekends in September. The final day of the swim season will be September 28—tickets are selling out quickly for the season’s last few weekends, so get your tickets now!
With the end of the public swim season, Blue Hole’s Swim Lawn will now be available to rent for private gatherings on most days! Though the swimming hole will be closed to the public, swim access is included with all Swim Lawn rentals, conditions permitting. Lifeguards are not provided for private rentals, so swimming is at your own risk.
The off-season provides the exciting opportunity to host more exciting programs and events in the park! We recommend exploring our website to see what special events are coming up in the rest of 2025. Here are some of the highlights:
- Howl at the Moon Dance Party, October 7 — Dance with your friends under the moonlight in this electrifying celebration of the night sky!
- BOO! Hole Halloween, October 18 — Celebrating its 10-year anniversary, this spooky festival features games, treats, and a costume contest! This year’s event is sponsored by Pedernales Electric Cooperative.
- Star Party, October 25 — Gaze at the Hill Country’s beautiful night sky! This event features presentations by the Wimberley Dark Sky Committee, as well as aid from the Texas State University Astronomy Club.
- Creekside Campout, November 15 — An exclusive opportunity to camp at Blue Hole! This event features a campfire, stargazing, a night hike, and more. Registration is required, and spaces are limited.
We hope you will continue to enjoy Blue Hole into the fall!
