What Parents Are Saying About Wimberley Camps
At the end of our 2025 camp season, we invited camp parents to share feedback about their experience with Wimberley Summer Camps and Blue Hole Nature Camps. We asked about their camper’s favorite parts of camp, anything they did not enjoy, themes they would love to see in the future, and ways we can continue to improve our communication and curriculum.
The feedback we received was incredibly helpful, and we are happy to share that the majority of responses were overwhelmingly positive. Parent insights like these play a huge role in shaping our programs and help us continue to grow and improve each season. Parents were also invited to share personal testimonials about their family’s experience with our camps. We are so grateful for the kind words and thoughtful reflections they shared. Below are a few of our favorites.
- “This summer, we set out to enroll our daughter in ALLLL the camps. She had many wonderful experiences throughout the summer but when we ask her which was her favorite, she says without hesitation, Blue Hole Nature Camp. We are not from Wimberley and our daughter did not know anyone else attending the camp, but the warm and friendly camp staff, the thoughtful planning of engaging activities, the time swimming and playing outside, all contributed to her having a truly remarkable week. Each day when we picked her up, she was exhausted, full of new information, and so happy. We live in the San Antonio area so we chose to spend the week in Wimberley and enjoyed our evenings at local restaurants and enjoying nearby towns. We can’t recommend Blue Hole Nature Camp enough and can’t wait to return next year!”
- “[Camper name] had an outstanding time at this camp and it was a great change from the camps in Houston. It gave me the opportunity to work remotely in Wimberley for the week and my child a great time meeting new friends and exploring a different ecosystem!”
- “I expected my kids to enjoy Blue Hole Nature Camp, but it exceeded my expectations. They came home every day full of stories of fun and friends and worn out in the best way possible. As someone who tries to give my kids as much outdoor time in nature as I can, Blue Hole is the epitome of what I want their summer to look like. My son asked to go for two weeks next year instead of one and said it was his favorite camp of the summer!”
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our camp parents for their continued support, trust, and partnership throughout the season. Your encouragement and feedback mean more to us than we can say, and they help make our camps a place where kids can learn, explore, and grow with confidence. We are already looking ahead to the 2026 camp season and cannot wait to welcome both returning and new campers. Camp registration opens on February 1st, and our camp webpage is now live with this summer’s weekly themes and descriptions to help families plan ahead. We are so excited for another unforgettable summer at Wimberley Summer Camps and Blue Hole Nature Camps.
