Wednesday Workdays are Back!

Fall is on the horizon, and with it comes the return of one of our favorite Wimberley traditions—Wednesday Workdays with Wimberley Parks & Recreation! Cooler mornings and crisp air make it the perfect time to step outside, lend a hand, and help us care for the parks that make our community so special.

Each week from October through April, our volunteer workgroup gathers to take on projects big and small—whether that’s mending trails, planting native species, collecting seeds, removing invasive plants, or simply sprucing up the spaces we all enjoy. It’s hands-on work that makes a real difference, and it’s also a great way to connect with other nature-minded folks.

The group meets most Wednesday mornings, 8–10 a.m., guided by our Park Natural Resources & Maintenance Manager, Bryce Burkhalter, and our amazing parks team. Every session offers something new to learn and accomplish. (Check out the Volunteer Workday Schedule 2025-26  here for a look ahead!)

Whether you’re looking to fulfill volunteer hours, build your Master Naturalist credits, or just want a reason to spend more time outdoors, we’d love for you to join us. Simply email Bryce at [email protected] to get added to the weekly email list with updates on upcoming projects.

✨ Come help us keep Wimberley’s parks thriving, one Wednesday at a time. See you out there! 🌿
