The Highlights of Blue Hole Nature Camp

In Week Seven of Blue Hole Nature Camp, we asked our campers about their favorite activities. Here’s what they had to say:

Our themed activities are a big hit with the campers. They offer an exciting and interactive way to learn about nature. For our “Branching Out” week, which focused on trees, the enthusiasm was palpable. “I want to learn how pecans grow on trees,” says Jace. “I am excited to learn about trees because I get to see my favorite trees, Red Oak and Live Oak,” says Jack.

At the end of a long day of hiking, swimming, and learning about nature in the park, it’s typical to find campers sitting together making bracelets, drawing with chalk, and even crafting keychains. Finn says “My favorite craft we did this week is clay pressing,” where the campers took air dry clay to make molds of different leaves found in the park during a hike.

But the standout favorite among campers? Swimming! Each day, the opportunity to cool off in Blue Hole is eagerly anticipated. Cora summed it up perfectly: “My favorite part of swimming at Blue Hole is when my friend and I go underwater at the same time.”

At Blue Hole Nature Camp, we offer a diverse range of activities that captivate our campers. From themed nature explorations and creative arts and crafts to the refreshing joy of swimming, there’s something for everyone. Our campers’ enthusiasm and curiosity make each week a new adventure. Don’t miss the chance to experience the fun, learning, and friendships at Blue Hole Nature Camp in our final week from August 5th-9th. Sign up below!
