Check out these Programs and Events in March!
March is full of opportunities to get outside, try something new, and connect with our community, and we still have spots available in several upcoming programs and events.
- We’re kicking things off with Movie in the Park on March 6 at 7 PM featuring the beloved film, Cars. Grab your snacks, picnic chairs, blankets, and a few friends and join us for a fun movie night under the stars at Blue Hole Regional Park on the Swim Lawn. This event is free and registration is not required, so just show up and enjoy a relaxed evening in the park.
- If you’ve ever wanted to camp at Blue Hole, Creekside Campout is your chance. This exclusive opportunity allows the public to camp inside the park on March 7th-8th, but space is limited and registration is required due to strict capacity. Please note that we do not provide camping equipment and all park rules still apply. Activities such as the fire pit are weather permitting, so be sure to check burn bans and our event webpage ahead of time so you can plan accordingly.
- Nature lovers will not want to miss Owl Prowl. We have two sessions in March, and the March 27 program still has plenty of open spots. This evening experience includes an educational presentation about owls and other birds of prey, an owl pellet dissection, and a guided night hike to look and listen for nocturnal wildlife. Registration is required and space is limited, so be sure to secure your spot.
- On March 22 at 9 AM, join us for Painting with Parks on the Blue Hole Swim Lawn. Your registration fee covers all materials including paint, brushes, canvas, and an easel. This is a slow paced, self-guided morning of plein air painting in a beautiful natural setting and a great way to start your weekend. Registration is required for this program.
- Adult Sport Leagues are back with Sand Volleyball beginning March 24. This six-week league hosts games every Tuesday between 5 and 8 PM. You can register a full team or sign up individually and we will place you on a team. Registration is required, so gather your friends or jump in solo and get ready for some friendly competition.
- We are also continuing our monthly community workout at Oak Park hosted by RedOak Strength and JoyLab Fit. This free program is open to all ages and fitness levels and is a great way to move your body alongside your neighbors. Walk-ins are welcome for this program.
- Lastly, Super Dimension Gaming is hosting a Game Night at the Wimberley Community Center from 12 PM to 7 PM. Whether you’re a seasoned gamer or just curious to try something new, it is a fun and welcoming space to spend the afternoon. Walk-ins are welcome for this program.
We hope you’ll join us for a great month of programs in Wimberley. Be sure to register where required and visit our website for full details on each event.
