Birding with a Purpose – Using Our Birding Skills to Help the People We Love
Most people say they like birds, and nearly 100 million people in the USA about 30% – consider themselves birdwatchers or birders. I’m sure that most of you fit in that category. How many more people would fit that category if we could expand the definition of birder to include everyone who appreciates birds, whether they can identify them or not? But it’s one thing to appreciate, like, even love, something, and it’s another thing to take that a step beyond that – to conserve it. What if we could convince most people that they can help protect birds – that anyone who cares can make a difference? That’s what we will be talking in the presentation today.
