Step Forward Together: Join Us for the Suicide Awareness Walk and Wellness Fair
Wimberley, known for its natural beauty and tight-knit community, is gearing up for an impactful event to spread mental health awareness in efforts to honor suicide awareness month.
The Wimberley Parks and Recreation Department, in collaboration with the WISD Wellness Center and The Greater Mercy Foundation, is excited to host the Suicide Awareness Walk and Health and Wellness Fair. The event will take place at Blue Hole Regional Park on Saturday, September 14th, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. At the heart of the event is a walk along the scenic trails of Blue Hole Regional Park, offering a serene setting for reflection and connection. Participants are encouraged to explore the Health and Wellness Fair, where a range of resources and information about mental health, wellness, and community support will be available.
This year’s theme, “Connection is Key,” emphasizes the importance of community support in addressing mental health issues. Join us for a morning of meaningful engagement, connection, and community spirit. Together, we can make a difference, embracing the theme that “Connection is Key” in our collective journey toward understanding and support.
Wimberley Parks and Recreation is thrilled to be part of this initiative, and happy to share that it directly aligns with our vision statement through community, accessibility, recreation, education, and sustainability. The event is free, though registration is recommended to help with planning.
