Plant Your Park on January 21st with Treefolks

a group of people in a fieldThe City of Wimberley Parks Department recently planted 33, 1-gallon trees at Blue Hole Regional Park as part of our Plant Your Park events. Now, we are excited to announce that we are partnering with the wonderful nonprofit, TreeFolks to plant 612 more tree saplings at Blue Hole Regional Park! TreeFolks’ Central Texas Floodplain Reforestation Program works to restore and diversify healthy forest buffers in floodplains, streamsides and riparian areas. Riparian forests improve water quality, provide wildlife habitat, and contribute to our overall well-being. Mark your calendar for Saturday, January 21, 2023 and arrive at Blue Hole Regional Park at 9:45 AM for coffee and sign-in. The event will run until 2 PM, and all materials needed for the planting will be provided. Tell your friends, because we need as many hands as we can get. We hope to see you there!
