Connection is key: suicide awareness walk

Come together with Wimberley Parks and Recreation, the Greater Mercy Foundation, and the Wimberley Independent School District Wellness Center this Saturday for a heartfelt, community-centered event focusing on suicide awareness and prevention. All are welcome to join us as we walk, run, connect, and discover local resources for mental health support.
Our 3-mile Connection Course will begin at 9:30 AM at the Community Pavilion in Blue Hole Regional Park. For those who would like to honor loved ones lost to suicide, we will also have a 3/4 mile Memorial Loop, providing a meaningful space for reflection and remembrance.
After the walks, a Wellness Fair will be held at the pavilion from 10 AM to 12 PM. The fair will feature local mental health professionals, wellness resources, and interactive activities designed to educate and connect community members with tools for mental health and well-being.
Join us in making a difference—show your support by attending, inviting friends and family, and contributing to a stronger, healthier Wimberley. Your involvement matters and helps ensure everyone has access to vital mental health resources. Take action: participate, learn, and encourage others to get involved.
