Beautiful area and highly recommend

Absolutely gorgeous! It’s such a beautiful area. We didn’t hike but will next time, as our friends and family spent the whole time swimming and jumping off the swings. Highly recommend to bring chairs, water shoes and floaties or tubes. We got there at 9 & left at 1 which was plenty of time!

Beautiful Texas Nature!

Blue Hole is a great park! The swimming hole is well maintained and preserved - make a reservation before you come. The water is cold and refreshing, and the rope swings from the giant bald cypress trees are so fun! Outside of the swimming area, the park has many great hiking trails, some soccer fields, playscape, and a pavilion.

Hill Country Gem

Well done Wimberley! This is a beautiful well managed park. I love that the swimming area has limited access. It preserves the natural area and creates an enjoyable experience (not over crowded). The water is refreshing. Area is shaded. Swimming is great! And the Recreation Area is nice. 2 thumbs up!

Lovely

We visited this place for a short time. We were not going to swim, so we were allowed to walk around. The staff was most helpful. The bathrooms were surprisingly clean. The paths made walking easy, especially for a 90 year old lady. We would love to come back with the grandkids. Make sure to reserve your place if you want to spend time there and swim. Great spot for a picnic.

Best swimming hole in TX

If I could give more stars I would. We booked from 9am -1pm w family ranging from 5-55. It was the perfect amount of time for our group. I could have stayed all day. Plenty of shade from the cypress trees. Bring a wagon if you’re taking in a cooler, it’s a quick walk down from the checkin counter but parking might be farther depending on what time you get there. We’ll be back ASAP

Love this park!

Absolutely one of the best things to visit when in Wimberley. It truly is a gem of a park, a wonderful watering hole and a cool place to visit. In every sense of the term! Bring some warm clothes because the water is COLD at times. Fresh spring fed.

Hopping in to May!

Although spotted before Easter, this bunny isn’t in the neighborhood to paint brightly colored eggs. Why? Because this fuzzy critter isn’t a bunny or rabbit at all. Known as the Black-tailed jackrabbit, this mammal is the only native hare species to Texas! Found in grasslands and deserts, this hare benefits the hill country ecosystem.  …
